Our infant and toddler programs are a wonderful environment to introduce young children to childcare. Our nurturing caregivers develop trusting relationships with each child and family to ensure a comfortable transition into the daycare center. During the course of a day the infants and toddlers will engage in many activities such as free play, art, snack, circle/story activities, and outdoor time.

Toddlers, for example, are trying to learn to walk, talk, and build attachments to their peers and their caregivers and parallel play alongside their peers.

Preschoolers have gained a lot of confidence, agility, co-ordination and understanding. Now they need time and experiences to further establish friendships, knowledge, language and skills.

Balwin Out of School Care programs believes that PLAY is a very important aspect of a child’s day. Play is the work of the children; and our teams are here to support that! Our trained Playworkers are on hand to ensure that children are able to freely choose activities, and to ensure children have a positive play experience with a variety of hands on activities. We encourage social interactions with teachers and peers and encourage positive attitudes.

Homework help and academic support are always available. Within the classroom, interactive books, games and educational online content play a key role in enhancing cognitive development and mental acuteness. Balwin Daycare places an emphasis on arts, self-expression and respecting individuals.
